This whole section will be devoted to whatever I'm cooking or baking, if it's cool or fun or neat.. Or completely sucks.. Or is so amazing that the only way you'll get to try it is if yo make it yourself.. ;)
Basically, I'll write a blurb about what I'm cooking today.. And then include a link to a cleanish recipe.. One so you can hopefully print it fairly easy.. Or at least read it to cook, without the tale of 3 kids and the adventures that went with that day's efforts.. Also, I'm going to use a "traffic light" type system to rate recipes.. "Green" means a recipe is healthy, economical and yummy! These are the recipes to watch.. "Yellow" means that a recipe is either not-so healthy or a little pricey.. If it's not yummy, the recipe won't be here, just the tale of my adventure in preparing it.. "Red" means that a recipe is both pricey and unhealthy.. These are the recipes that are good for special occasions or whatever, but definitely not in your everyday repertoire... I'm also one of those folks that does meal planning.. I've been doing it off and on for about 6 months now.. We've found ourselves eating waaay better (healthier, more variety and discovering some amazing food!), and saving money at the same time! What more could you ask for? So.. every once and a while, I will have a post that includes my menu plan for the next while.. (I usually do the whole month, or most of it all at once.. But I do change things when the mood strikes.. ;) ) |
